  • Setting: Intensive Care Unit / Progressive Care Unit (ICU/PCU) combination unit
  • Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
  • Hours Per Week: 36 hours
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
  • Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekends as needed, first to float
  • Shifts Per Week: Typically 3 shifts per week
  • Start Date: 10/12/2026
  • End Date: 1/11/2027
  • Orientation: 2 shifts on the unit
  • Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Floating: Between ICU and PCU patients within the unit

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of ICU nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • EPIC experience required
  • Thermoguard/Zoll cooling experience with targeted temperature management (TTM) required
  • Current RN license required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips
  • Ability to titrate drips and manage critically ill patients
  • Strong adaptability and flexibility for unit staffing needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality care to ICU and PCU patients with varying levels of acuity
  • Monitor and manage ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, sedatives, and other critical care therapies
  • Care for patients with diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, overdose, cardiac conditions, and respiratory complications
  • Support patients receiving targeted temperature management and advanced critical care interventions
  • Perform routine nursing duties including vital signs, IV pulls, bladder scans, specimen collection, Foley care, and bathing assistance as needed
  • Collaborate closely with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
  • Float between ICU and PCU assignments within the unit to meet patient care needs
  • Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while helping deliver excellent patient outcomes
