- Setting: Intensive Care Unit / Progressive Care Unit (ICU/PCU) combination unit
- Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 - $2,130
- Hours Per Week: 36 hours
- Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
- Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, weekends as needed, first to float
- Shifts Per Week: Typically 3 shifts per week
- Start Date: 10/12/2026
- End Date: 1/11/2027
- Orientation: 2 shifts on the unit
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs
- Charting System: EPIC
- Floating: Between ICU and PCU patients within the unit
Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of ICU nursing experience required; 2 years preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- EPIC experience required
- Thermoguard/Zoll cooling experience with targeted temperature management (TTM) required
- Current RN license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- NIHSS certification required
- Comfortable reading and interpreting telemetry strips
- Ability to titrate drips and manage critically ill patients
- Strong adaptability and flexibility for unit staffing needs
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care to ICU and PCU patients with varying levels of acuity
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients, vasoactive drips, sedatives, and other critical care therapies
- Care for patients with diagnoses such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, overdose, cardiac conditions, and respiratory complications
- Support patients receiving targeted temperature management and advanced critical care interventions
- Perform routine nursing duties including vital signs, IV pulls, bladder scans, specimen collection, Foley care, and bathing assistance as needed
- Collaborate closely with intensivists, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team
- Float between ICU and PCU assignments within the unit to meet patient care needs
- Maintain a professional, team-oriented approach while helping deliver excellent patient outcomes
