Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment in a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 2+ years critical care and prior travel experience.

Details

• Cardiac ICU unit caring for cardiac patients with overflow from MICU, Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU
• 1:2 patient ratio
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00-19:30)
• Every other weekend required, with flexibility for unit needs expected
• No on-call requirement
• No block scheduling accommodation
• Floating to other ICUs and boarder areas should be expected
• Epic charting system required
• 23 staffed beds on the unit

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 3 years of critical care experience required
• Prior travel experience required, at least 2 contracts preferred (will consider candidates with 1 contract)
• Level I Trauma facility experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• References must be from a direct supervisor, not a charge RN
• Two supervisory references required at time of consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiac ICU patients with a focus on cardiology, including overflow patients from other ICU units
• Manager prefers to avoid placing travel pairs on the unit
• Scrubs must be solid blue, facility-provided as needed or candidate's own
• COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate with no radius restriction
• RTO should be kept to a minimum and cannot be requested during the first two weeks of the assignment
• Prior UW/Harborview staff must have an 18-month separation before returning as a travel RN
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
