- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float within scope to IMC
- Charting System: Epic
- Orientation: 24 hours
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- At least 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience required; 3 years preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Experience using Epic electronic health record (EHR) charting required
- Strong background caring for trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neuro patients
- Experience with 1:2 patient ratios in a critical care setting
- Ability to work holidays and weekends as needed
- Must be comfortable floating within scope
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
- Monitor and manage patients with medical, surgical, trauma, cardiovascular, stroke, and neurological diagnoses
- Administer and titrate cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, sedation, and IV medications as ordered
- Provide ventilator management, airway support, and advanced respiratory care
- Support patients requiring CRRT, IABP, EVDs, and other advanced critical care therapies
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic and follow established ICU protocols and standards of care
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and prioritize safe, timely interventions
