Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) with a patient ratio of 1:3.
• Float as needed to Progressive Care Units (PCU), other ICUs, and SRC campus.
• Manage arterial lines, central lines, and care for ventilated patients.
• Administer continuous IV sedation and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Handle isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure.
• Participate in interdisciplinary support and special procedures as required.
• Work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting.
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system is an advantage.
• Willingness to work days, nights, weekends, and take on-call shifts as required.
• Ability to float to different units as needed.
