Description
American Traveler is hiring a Travel RN for a Coronary Care Unit (CCU/ICU) position requiring at least 1 year of recent acute care ICU experience and BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications.
Details
- 26-bed Coronary Care Unit (CCU) within a hospital setting
- Unit staffed with 13 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, and 1 Patient Care Tech per shift
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Utilizes balloon pumps, CRRT, and hypothermia equipment
- Performs procedures including heart caths, cardioversion, central lines, and medication drips
- Uses Meditech EMR
- 13-week assignment with 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
Requirements
- Active KS or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital ICU experience required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
- Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start
- Prior Meditech experience preferred
- Prior travel experience in a large facility ICU preferred
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing to coronary and cardiac patients requiring close monitoring and specialized interventions
- Work alongside a collaborative team including RNs, Charge Nurses, and Patient Care Techs
- Best suited for driven, organized, and efficient candidates with a positive and engaged attitude
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
