  • Weekly Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
  • Unit Size: 30 beds
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,030
  • Call: No on-call requirement
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: One winter holiday commitment
  • Floating: May float to other units as needed
  • Patient Ratio: Approximately 5:1

Job Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care or hospital setting
  • Previous travel nursing experience required
  • Stroke experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS certification required
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Ability to work nights and support a fast-paced telemetry unit

Responsibilities

  • Provide skilled telemetry nursing care for cardiac and stroke patients
  • Monitor and respond to cardiac rhythms, changes in condition, and evolving clinical needs
  • Care for patients with chest pain, cardiac arrhythmias, post-cardiac catheterization needs, stroke, sepsis, and withdrawal-related diagnoses
  • Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, effective, and patient-centered care
  • Maintain accurate nursing documentation and communicate promptly with providers and clinical staff
  • Adapt to floating assignments when needed and contribute to overall unit coverage
  • Support a positive patient experience while maintaining high standards of clinical excellence in a hospital nursing environment
