Job Title: Cardio Thoracic ICU Registered Nurse

Pay Range: 2072.32 - 2175.94
Schedule: 07:00 - 19:30; 3x12s or 4x12s; every other weekend, floating, and holidays required; must work Christmas; no block scheduling
Contract Length: 13 weeks with possible extension
Candidate Type: Traveler
Requirements: 2 years of experience in a CVICU/CTICU; active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at the time of submission; proficiency in Epic; BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association; NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS); arterial line management; blood product administration; central line care and management; PICC line management; starting IVs; continuous IV sedation; procedural sedation administration; titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips; strong neuro experience, including post-brain surgery, EVD experience, and ventriculostomy; FloTrac/Vigileo monitoring; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias; multi-system organ failure; CABG; intra-aortic balloon pump; Impella; post-cardiac surgery care; pre/post-cardiac catheterization and intervention; pulmonary artery line/Swan-Ganz monitoring; IV insulin protocols; CVVHD/CRRT; CVA/acute stroke management; assisting with BiPAP and CPAP management; care of ventilated patients; high-flow nasal cannula; interpretation of ABGs; suctioning; ventilator management; infection prevention; isolation precautions and PPE use; surgical wounds with drains and wound vacs; no license or background hits; local RN candidates living within 50 miles of Chesapeake Regional Healthcare are not eligible.
