Job Details:
• Day shift position in a 10-bed General ICU setting
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday requirements apply
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Float requirement determined by nurse manager; in cases of extreme need, may float within Zone 4
• Titration of drips required including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
• Experience working in a rural setting and using telehealth for critical care and pulmonology preferred
• Must be able to independently read telemetry strips and escalate as appropriate
• Respiratory therapy support available 24/7 with equipment including CPAP, BiPAT, high flow, and ventilators
• Onsite hospitalist available
• Charting system: EPIC
• Dress code: Navy blue scrubs
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, CRRT
• BSN not required
• Trauma Level 3 facility
Facility:
This acute care facility operates a 10-bed General ICU and provides comprehensive critical care services in a rural setting. The unit is supported by onsite hospitalists, 24/7 respiratory therapy, and telehealth capabilities for critical care and pulmonology. The facility utilizes EPIC as its charting system and maintains a collaborative staffing model with charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapists working together to deliver quality patient care.
