  • Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed hours
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
  • Schedule Notes: Every other weekend required; holidays as required
  • Floating: Must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed
  • Setting: On-site, patient-facing critical care assignment

Job Requirements

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or a compact state license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU, ICU, or closely related critical care experience
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required
  • Current AHA BLS or Red Cross certification required
  • Current AHA NIH certification required
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Ability to work in solid navy scrubs
  • Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and confidence in a high-acuity cardiac care environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert critical care nursing to cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and post-surgical patients in the ICU and stepdown setting
  • Monitor patients using complex invasive hemodynamic monitoring and advanced critical care assessment skills
  • Support safe, patient-centered recovery following surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary cardiovascular care team to deliver high-quality outcomes
  • Maintain professionalism, clinical accuracy, and attention to detail in a fast-paced ICU environment
  • Float to other units or hospitals when needed to support patient care needs
  • Work scheduled weekends and holidays as required by the assignment
