Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/CCU RN for a night shift position requiring critical care experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring and support devices.

Details

  • 16-bed ICU/CCU unit within the hospital's Main Building
  • Patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1
  • Monitor tech staffing varies based on census
  • Equipment used includes Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Artic Sun, and hemodynamic monitoring devices
  • Procedures performed on the unit include central line insertions and dialysis catheter insertions
  • Documentation completed in Meditech
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 36 hours per week scheduling requirement
  • Floating required in rotation with core staff

Requirements

  • Active KY or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/CCU experience required
  • Strong critical thinking skills and self-motivation required
  • US SSN and DOB required for consideration
  • No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide direct critical care nursing to ICU/CCU patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
  • Work alongside a collaborative, team-oriented staff with a mix of day and night shift experience
  • Scrubs required in any color; denim, capris, and camo patterns not permitted
  • Unit has received recognition for community involvement, including blanket-making for hospice patients and a Daisy Award for a Critical Care RN
  • Flexible scheduling options available
  • Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
