Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an ICU position requiring NC or compact RN licensure and critical care drip titration knowledge on night shift.

Details

  • ICU and IMU unit within a 294-bed Joint Commission accredited hospital
  • 16-bed unit with adult patient population
  • Patient ratios: ICU 2:1, IMU 3:1, Tele 1:5
  • Night shift schedule 7PM-7AM
  • Weekend requirement every other or every third weekend, 12hrs
  • Floating required
  • No call requirements
  • Unit uses cardiac monitors, Hill-Rom Progressive Care beds with scale, Abbott Glucometer, EndoTool, Bair Hugger, TR band, Hotline 3 fluid warmer, Baxter IV pumps, and has bedside dialysis capability
  • Meditech EMR used

Requirements

  • Active RN license (NC or Compact) currently in hand
  • Current certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA)
  • Minimum 1.5 years of ICU experience required
  • Associate degree required, BSN preferred
  • EKG interpretation skills required
  • Critical thinking skills and knowledge of critical drips (vasopressors, sedation) titration required
  • No artificial nails permitted

Additional Information

  • Care for patients with common diagnoses including COPD, acute renal failure, DKA, sepsis, and shock
  • Reports to Clinical Staff Lead or Charge Nurse
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and adaptable personality fit preferred
  • Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
  • Travelers cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
  • Cannot be employed elsewhere full time
