Contract | Days | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct critical care nursing to ICU patients with a typical patient ratio of 1:2–3
Manage ventilators, IV drip titration, and continuous telemetry monitoring
Perform dysrhythmia recognition and management, conscious sedation, and emergency response
Apply strong neuro critical care skills including NIH Stroke Scale assessment
Float as needed to Stepdown, Emergency Department, or Medical-Surgical units to care for ICU-level patients
Work every other weekend, required holidays within the contract, and a minimum of two of the three winter holidays

Required Qualifications

Active Virginia or Compact RN license in hand at time of submission — no exceptions
Proficiency in Epic EHR — no exceptions
BLS certification from American Heart Association only
ACLS certification from American Heart Association only
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Must pass a pre-start EKG/telemetry test with a score of 80% or higher (one attempt, no remediation)

Preferred Experience / Skills

Minimum of three years of critical care experience preferred; strong candidates with less experience may be considered
Previous travel nursing experience preferred
