Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiac ICU position requiring recent specialty experience and ACLS/BLS certification.

Details

  • Work in a highly specialized 20-bed Cardiovascular ICU (CVC)
  • Cares for patients undergoing open heart, vascular, and thoracic surgeries
  • Utilizes specialized equipment including intra-aortic balloon pumps, Impella, CRRT, and epicardial pacemakers
  • 12-hour day shifts, schedule varies between 7A-7P
  • 3 shifts per week, 36 guaranteed hours weekly
  • No on-call requirements

Requirements

  • Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a Cardiac ICU specialty required
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • CCRN and NIHSS certifications preferred

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to complex cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical patients
  • Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)
  • Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
  • Returning perm staff must have a 2-year break before returning as a traveler
  • RTO must be requested prior to accepting an offer and cannot be requested after
