Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, ICU – Topeka, KS 66606

Start Date: October 28, 2026

Location: Topeka, Kansas

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00), every other weekend required. 2:1 patient ratio with cardiac and critical care patient population.

Highlights:

• Mixed ICU/CVICU unit with cardiac patient population, including 6-10 cardiovascular cases per month
• Advanced critical care experience with ventilator management, multiple drip titrations, and complex cardiac interventions
• 16-bed unit with daily census of 13 patients, supported by comprehensive interdisciplinary teams
• First-time travelers accepted with 2 years of ICU experience preferred
• 12-week assignment with 12-hour orientation period
• Exposure to advanced cardiac procedures including open heart recovery, CRRT, Impella, IABP, and hypothermia protocols

Requirements:

• Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required in hand
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience preferred; must be able to manage two ventilated patients with multitasking on multiple drip titrations
• Experience with cardiac patient populations, arterial line management, central line care, and vasoactive drip titration
• Trauma Level II experience preferred; Epic charting system experience preferred
• Must reside outside 50-mile local radius
• Willingness to float to like units within scope as needed
