Description
American Traveler is hiring an ICU RN for a high-acuity Respiratory Care stepdown unit requiring 3+ years of critical care experience with ventilator, trauma, and neuro patients.
Details
- High-acuity Respiratory Care stepdown ICU unit
- Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating as needed and holiday coverage as needed
- No block scheduling requests accommodated
- Patient ratio of 3:1, up to 4:1 depending on staffing
- Travel pairs will not be considered
Requirements
- Active FL or compact RN license required in hand
- BLS and ACLS certification via AHA required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required in hand at time of consideration
- Minimum 3 years recent critical care experience with acute/chronically ill patients requiring ventilator support
- Trauma and neuro experience required
- Degree must be from an accredited school, or from an FBON-approved institution with 2 years of recent, consecutive acute care experience within the past 24 months in a US hospital
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening, including fingerprint-based state and federal criminal history checks and abuse registry review
Additional Information
- Care for high-acuity respiratory patients requiring ventilator support in a stepdown ICU setting
- Charge RN, SICU, MICU, trauma, and stroke experience preferred
- Smoke-free facility
- Locals accepted within a 60-mile radius at a lower pay rate
- Former Broward Health permanent employees must be separated for 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates from Operation Nightingale schools will not be accepted
- Required to complete a Basic Arrhythmia assessment with passing score standards prior to starting first shift
