Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/CCU RN for a night shift position requiring ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke, and PALS certifications along with advanced hemodynamic monitoring skills.
Details
- 16-bed Intensive Care/Critical Care Unit setting
- Patient ratios of 2:1, occasionally 3:1
- Staffing support includes a monitor tech and, census-dependent, a unit tech
- Uses specialized equipment including Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, and Arctic Sun cooling systems
- Hemodynamic monitoring required
- Documentation completed in Meditech
- Performs central line and dialysis catheter insertions
- Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week scheduling requirement
- Floating required in rotation with core staff
Requirements
- Active KY or compact RN license required
- Minimum 1 year of recent ICU/CCU experience required
- Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke
- Critical thinking skills and self-motivation required
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

- Scrubs required in any color; no denim, capris, or camo allowed
- Team environment with a mix of day and night shift experience levels
- Flexible scheduling options available
- Unit recognized for Daisy Award achievement and community involvement, including hospice blanket-making initiative
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
