Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN for a night shift position requiring Medical ICU experience and vent/drip titration skills.

Details

  • 20-bed Intensive Care Unit setting
  • Staffing includes 1 charge nurse and 10 RNs per shift with no support staff
  • Patient ratios of 2:1, or 3:1 for lower acuity patients
  • Uses Baxter infusion pumps
  • Utilizes the Expanse EMR system
  • Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
  • 13-week assignment length
  • 4 weekend shifts required per schedule
  • Floating to Progressive Care unit may be required

Requirements

  • Active TX or compact RN license required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Minimum 1 year of recent Medical ICU experience required
  • Vent and drip titration experience required
  • Experience with intubation, central lines, endoscopy, tracheostomy, and chest tube procedures
  • US Social Security Number and date of birth required for consideration
  • No gaps in work history exceeding 90 days within the past 12 months

Additional Information

  • Provide critical care nursing to medically complex ICU patients
  • Team-oriented environment requiring flexibility and a positive attitude
  • Royal blue scrub attire required
  • Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for this position
