Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

This position will require varying night shifts, specifically from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Location

This position is located in the Intensive Care Unit in City, State.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critical patients in the ICU setting
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing appropriate interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans and post-discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in the Intensive Care Unit
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required
• Preferred certifications include CCRN and NIHSS
• Experience with Cerner and General Medical Surgical ICU is preferred

Holiday Expectations

Candidates must be available to work during the holidays, specifically on 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve).
