Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work in a high-acuity critical care setting
• Comfort with flexible scheduling, weekend coverage, and rotating assignments as needed
• Ability to adapt to floating assignments when required by patient care needs

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate, and high-quality care to critically ill patients and their families
• Monitor patient status and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Assist with advanced ICU procedures, including central line insertion, arterial line placement, lumbar punctures, chest tube insertions, and EVD insertions
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, effective patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care in the Meditech EHR system
• Follow unit guidelines, maintain professional standards, and support smooth shift-to-shift transitions
• Participate in a rotating schedule with a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule period
• Float to med/surg when needed to support staffing demands and patient care coverage
