ICU Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• At least 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable in a high-acuity environment
• Experience with ICU equipment and procedures such as hemodynamic monitoring, Impella, GE monitors, temporary pacemakers, EKOS, IABP, Arctic Sun, central line insertions, and dialysis catheter insertions preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, compassionate, and high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients
• Monitor patient status closely and respond quickly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient outcomes
• Perform and assist with critical care procedures as needed
• Accurately document care and patient assessments in the electronic medical record
• Support a positive, team-oriented environment while maintaining excellent clinical standards
• Adapt to unit needs, including rotating coverage with core staff when floating is required
