Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed ICU setting with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2
• Operate and monitor advanced equipment including ventilators, Swan-Ganz catheters, Impella devices, and intra-aortic balloon pumps
• Assist with and support procedures such as intubation, central line placement, bronchoscopy, EVD placement, ICP monitoring, pacers, and bolts
• Collaborate with the care team including Charge Nurse Coordinators, unit secretaries, and support staff on night shift
• Float to the Doctors ICU as needed
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a patient-centered approach to care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Texas (or compact eligibility)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU experience — candidates without ICU experience will not be considered
• Availability to work every other weekend
• Must be available for on-call placement within the scheduled shift if census does not require presence; no additional call expectations beyond that shift

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience
• Cardiovascular surgery experience
