Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment requiring at least 2 years of hospital experience and an active TX or compact RN license.

Details

• Work in the Medical ICU of a hospital setting
• Provides care to medical ICU/MSICU patient population
• Uses ICU equipment including ventilators, NXStage, Arctic Sun, and GE Cardiac Output monitors
• Performs procedures such as central line placements, thoracentesis, dialysis catheter placements, cardioversions, intubations, and other ICU interventions
• Documentation completed in Meditech
• 13-week assignment with 7P-7A shift schedule
• Rotating weekend requirement
• Floating required as needed
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active RN license (TX or Compact) required; temporary licenses not accepted
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• CCRN certification preferred
• NIH Stroke Certification required for MICU placement
• Minimum 2 years of hospital ICU experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• SSN and date of birth required for consideration
• One professional reference required (two required for Florida and Missouri candidates)

Additional Information

• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered; no local candidates accepted
• Royal blue scrubs required for RNs
• Facility is a Level III trauma center with an ICU serving high-acuity patients
• Assignments made according to patient acuity and staff skill level
