  • Weekend Requirement: Rotating weekends / every other weekend
  • Floating: Required as needed
  • EMR: Meditech preferred experience

Job Requirements

  • Active Texas RN license required; temporary licenses are not accepted
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current ACLS certification required
  • NIH Stroke Scale certification or experience required
  • Experience with vasopressors required
  • Strong critical care knowledge and sound clinical judgment
  • Meditech experience preferred
  • Dependable attendance and flexibility to float when needed

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU
  • Monitor patient status, interpret clinical changes, and respond quickly to urgent needs
  • Administer medications, including vasoactive infusions, according to best practices and physician orders
  • Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary care team to support optimal patient outcomes
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the electronic medical record
  • Support safe, efficient patient flow while adapting to floating needs within the facility
  • Maintain professional standards, including unit dress code and attendance expectations
