Travel Nursing Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,460–$1,540
- Assignment Type: 13-week ICU travel nursing assignment
- Location: Longview, Texas
- Start Date: October 19, 2026
- End Date: January 18, 2027
- Schedule: Approximately three shifts per week, totaling 36 hours
- Shift Duration: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
- Unit: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Patient Ratios: Typically 1:1 or 1:2 in ICU; 1:4 when floating to HVU or PCU
- Call: No call required
- Floating: May float to HVU and PCU based on operational needs
- Charting: Medhost, transitioning to Cerner
- Dress Code: Any solid-color scrubs
ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- At least 2 years of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
- Strong patient assessment, prioritization, and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and adapt to floating assignments
- Travel assignment eligibility requires residence more than 50 miles from the facility
ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill and high-acuity patients in the ICU
- Monitor patient condition, recognize changes in status, and intervene promptly
- Manage complex treatments, medications, ventilator support, and critical care equipment within scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic medical record
- Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and evidence-based clinical practice
- Provide safe, effective care when floating to HVU or PCU
- Support patients and families through education, communication, and compassionate care
