Job Description

Maimonides Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) to provide high-acuity nursing care to adult and geriatric cardiac ICU patients. This unit specializes in managing critically ill cardiac patients without handling open-heart cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity nursing care to adult and geriatric cardiac ICU patients.
• Monitor and manage complex cardiac patients, vasoactive medications, invasive lines, and advanced circulatory support.
• Perform airway and respiratory skills such as breathing treatments, mechanical ventilation, and tracheostomy care.
• Conduct cardiac and circulatory management including 12-lead EKG interpretation and blood product administration.
• Manage and care for patient lines and equipment such as PCA pumps, EVD/ICP, and central lines.
• Titrate critical-care medications and manage IV medication administration.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of critical care nursing experience.
• Previous travel experience is required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active State RN License is required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
