Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit, Bakersfield, CA: Provides coordinated nursing care for patients in accordance with established standards and the nursing process. The role includes assessing patient needs, developing and implementing care plans, coordinating interdisciplinary care, supervising assigned nursing staff, and supporting safe, effective patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice; Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor; American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); acute care facility experience.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include collecting and analyzing patient data, identifying care needs and expected outcomes, developing and implementing individualized care plans, evaluating patient progress, coordinating care with patients, families, and healthcare providers, providing health education, participating in discharge planning, and appropriately delegating duties to members of the healthcare team.
