Job Description
As a Registered Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Emergency Department (ED) settings, you will utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care to critical patients. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Collect relevant data concerning the patient's condition and report critical findings to physicians promptly.
- Assess appropriate lab and diagnostic data.
- Document findings and identify abnormal results through physical assessments.
- Develop and adjust patient care plans based on individual needs.
- Advocate for patients and their families.
- Perform interventions as per patient need and hospital policies.
- Evaluate patient outcomes against established goals.
- Adhere strictly to safety guidelines while interacting with patients.
- Demonstrate a professional demeanor in all interactions with patients, family, and staff.
- Other duties as assigned by management, including floating to CCU and ED as necessary.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program.
- Current New York State Licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC certifications from the American Heart Association.
- NIHSS Certification.
- Recent experience in Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit.
- Moderate Sedation Certification.
