Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an experienced ICU (Intensive Care Unit) registered nurse for a night shift position at a healthcare facility. The role involves managing critically ill patients across various units, requiring expertise in titrating vasopressor drips, and utilizing advanced monitoring equipment within a Level 1 trauma environment.
Job Details:
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS. Valid RN license required, with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience in a large hospital over 250 beds, level 1 trauma.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, with every other weekend and holiday, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Responsibilities include managing 1-3 critically ill patients, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, medical, and surgical cases. Capable of independently caring for critical patients, titrating various drips, and assisting with bedside procedures such as RSI, EVD placement, and line insertion.
- Unit/Department Specific Training: Total of 32 hours onboarding over the first week, including hospital orientation, unit-specific training, and ICU orientation.
- Additional information: Call-in required daily prior to shifts to determine work location; may float to other critical care units and medical-surgical units as needed.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
