The role emphasizes patient safety, clinical skill development, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams in a dynamic environment.

Job Details

  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license in SD or a compact state, BLS (American Heart Association), and ACLS (American Heart Association) certification. Minimum of 1 year of experience in critical care, medical-surgical, or equivalent setting.
  • Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday work required.
  • Additional Information: New RNs receive unit-specific orientation, including competencies validation and online modules. The unit cares for patients with diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, congestive heart failure, COVID-19, pulmonary embolism, and other complex conditions requiring critical respiratory and cardiac interventions. Clinical skills include BiPAP, CPAP, heated high flow oxygen, moderate sedation, telemonitoring, and ventilator management.
