Job Details

  • Location: Fargo, ND
  • Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
  • Certification and License Requirements: BLS (American Heart Association), ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS, and RN license for North Dakota or a compact state
  • Education and Experience: 2 years of ICU experience in a hospital with over 250 beds, including level 1 trauma; ability to independently manage critically ill patients, understanding of EPIC charting, and experience with titrating vasopressor drips
  • Responsibilities include managing 1-3 critically ill patients across various units, assisting with bedside procedures like RSI, EVD placement, and line insertions, and utilizing equipment such as IABP, Impella, and Phillips monitoring systems
  • Orientation: 32 hours total, including hospital and unit-specific training, spread over the first week
  • Float: Float to all critical care units and medical-surgical units as needed, including occasional float to MS
  • Additional Information: Candidates must call in each day prior to their shift to determine their work location; may be required to float to other units; must badge in and out at the facility
