Position Description:
Responsible for delivering comprehensive critical care to patients in various ICU units, including surgical, trauma, neuroscience, and cardiac intensive care. Proficient in hemodynamic monitoringboth invasive and non-invasivemechanical ventilator management, arterial and central line procedures, vasopressor administration, chest tube management, and advanced cardiac monitoring. The role involves responding to emergencies, managing critical medications, and handling blood products. Exposure to CRRT and targeted temperature management is preferred.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must hold ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications. A minimum of 1 year of ICU experience, along with recent ICU practice, is required. Candidates should be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, vasopressor titration, and emergency response protocols. Previous experience with Epic EHR system is preferred.
Education and licensure: Valid RN license and appropriate healthcare certifications.
Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with trauma, neurocritical care, or working within a Level I Trauma center. Float pool, traveler, or multi-unit experience is highly valued. Comfort with float assignments across various ICU and acute care units within the organization is preferred.
Additional Information:
The role includes floating across LLUH adult facilities, including the main campus, surgical/neuroscience ICU, medical ICU, cardiac ICU, and East Campus ICU. Flexibility to float to Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care, and Overflow units as operational needs dictate is expected. Candidates must demonstrate adaptability, with proven ability to safely transition between ICU and acute care environments.
