Job Summary:
ICU Registered Nurse (Intensive Care Unit) In a hospital or healthcare setting, this role involves delivering specialized nursing care to adult patients in the intensive care unit. The position requires assessing patient conditions, administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes. The nurse must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient status and support the organizations mission and values.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing; current RN license in the State of Oregon; evidence of continuing education appropriate for skill level and area of practice; BLS certification; ACLS certification; PALS certification.
- Preferred Qualifications: BSN or MSN degree; Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN); CRASE training (if assignment extends beyond 6 months).
- Additional Information: The role involves performing a variety of nursing duties with adaptability, including assessing patient needs, performing general nursing responsibilities, and participating in required education for DNV programs. Responsibilities also include recognizing patient confidentiality rights, demonstrating empathy, and maintaining effective therapeutic communication. The position involves physical requirements such as lifting up to 50 pounds, frequent repositioning of patients, and continuous walking or standing throughout shifts.
