The position involves providing holistic patient care in a fast-paced critical care environment, with responsibilities including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans across a diverse adult and geriatric population.
Job Details
- Position Description: The registered nurse provides comprehensive, holistic care to patients and families, focusing on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions in line with standards and competencies specific to the assigned service area. The scope of practice may include care of neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults throughout the life cycle. The RN develops and revises patient care plans, coordinates multidisciplinary care, and delegates activities when appropriate. The RN participates in shared decision-making and actively seeks to improve practice standards and patient outcomes. RNs may be required to float to other ICUs or medical/surgical units if staffing needs arise.
- Required Qualifications:
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association or ARC)
- Education: Current Minnesota state RN license
- Experience: 1+ years of clinical experience in critical care settings, experience with open-heart surgery patients, interpretation of cardiac rhythms, and Epic electronic health record experience.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Impella and Balloon Pumps.
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information:
- Submission requirements include current skills checklist, pertinent to the specialty, and two supervisory references with employment dates.
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the USA and include any RTO (Reasonable Treatment of Time Off) requests at the time of application.
- Start date is September 28, 2026, with an end date of December 28, 2026.
