Job Summary
The organization is seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for an ICU (Intensive Care Unit) position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized critical care for patients with complex and life-threatening conditions, including respiratory failure, post-surgical recovery, and cardiac issues. The RN will deliver primary nursing care and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Position: ICU RN (Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse)
- Location: The healthcare facility
- Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, including every other weekend and holiday rotation; orientation includes classroom training plus 2 shifts on the unit with a preceptor
- Required Qualifications: BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), active Illinois license or confirmation of application initiation, 1 year of ICU experience, and the ability to care for ventilated, sedated, and titrated drips patients including PEG tube management and central line care
- Additional Responsibilities: Managing ventilated and sedated patients, titrating vasopressors, pain and sedation drips, troubleshooting telemetry monitors, and performing treatment of patients with complex needs in a 24/7 ICU environment
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS from AHA (American Heart Association)
