Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) registered nurse position located in the Puget Sound region of Washington. This role involves providing high-level care to a diverse patient population with complex medical needs, including post-surgical, cardiac, respiratory, neurologic, and trauma patients. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a team committed to quality patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week, scheduled every other weekend, and with shifts published every 6 weeks.
- Required Qualifications: Valid ACLS and BLS certifications, NIHSS certification, 2 years of recent ICU experience including sepsis management, targeted temperature management, manual proning, and post-cardiac cath and PCI care (radial and groin approaches). Experience with post-TPA infusion management for stroke, titration of drips such as Levophed, propofol, heparin, vasopressin, phenylephrine, insulin, and others. Must be licensed to submit and willing to wait for license processing.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in an ICU with ventilators (vent, high flow, Cpap, Bipap) and telemetry monitoring. Ability to manage complex patient needs and work within a fast-paced environment.
- Floating: Floating rotations may occur within the department based on census and acuity, with a maximum of 3 patients assigned per nurse.
- Additional Information: This role involves inpatient acute care with a variety of medical and procedural patients, requiring teamwork and adaptability. Orientation includes department-specific training and module work, along with Epic training if necessary. The hospital is situated between Seattle and Tacoma, close to outdoor recreational activities.
