Job Summary
Registered Nurse, Intensive Care Unit. This position provides comprehensive nursing care by assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, evaluating outcomes, and documenting care in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies. The role supports patients across varying acuity levels and promotes safe, effective, and evidence-based care.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, a temporary or interim Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice, or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; at least one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 12 months in the applicable specialty area.
- Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors degree; professional certification; additional related education or experience.
- Schedule: Night shift; 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Provides care for cardiac, neurological, trauma, general intensive care, progressive care, and medical-surgical patients. Must be proficient in telemetry monitoring and willing to care for medical-surgical-level patients in a mixed-acuity setting. Weekend and holiday coverage is required according to unit rotation. If placed on call, the nurse must be able to report within one hour. The role requires frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, stretching, patient transfers, and use of proper body mechanics. Exposure to blood and bodily fluids may occur, and the role may require lifting up to 75 pounds.
