Job Summary
ICU Nurse Critical Care (Intensive Care Unit), Mount Pleasant, WI. This position involves providing specialized care for critically ill patients in a 12-bed ICU setting within a Level 3 Trauma facility. The role requires delivering advanced nursing care to a diverse patient population, including those with stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical needs, and patients requiring continuous renal replacement therapy. The ICU Nurse will work night shifts as scheduled, supporting a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Job Details
- Location: Mount Pleasant, WI
- Responsibilities include caring for general ICU patients with conditions such as stroke, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical care, and CRRT.
- Experience required: 2 years in ICU, with at least 1 year working in critical care.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
- Skills required: Experience with arterial lines, cardiac and critical drips, vents, bipaps, trachs, codes, and general ICU skills.
- Support on the unit includes 1-2 CNAs depending on census, resource nurses, hospitalists (24/7), and on-site intensivists (0700-1900).
- Charting system: EMR (Epic).
- Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing.
- Support services include phlebotomy, RT, OT, PT, ST teams.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to ICU holding areas or possibly to Kenosha when needed.
- Orientation: 2 twenty-four-hour shifts.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Weekend rotation: Every third weekend, with flexibility for time off approval.
- Holidays: Every other holiday.
- Shift times: 0700-1900 or 1900-0700.
- Scrub color: Navy blue.
- Parking: Free.
