Job Summary:
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Nights 36 hours per week. This position is located in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within the healthcare facility. The role involves providing high-acuity patient care to adult and geriatric patients during overnight shifts, with scheduled rotations including every other weekend and holidays. The ICU RN will be responsible for managing complex clinical scenarios and working within a high-performance team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 3x12 night shifts (20:00-08:30), minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: MD state licensure as a Registered Nurse, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NIH (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification, current ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS certifications, and a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience with adult and geriatric patients.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with advanced charting systems, community hospital background, and trauma level II experience.
  • Float: Float to ICU as needed within the specialty and lower acuity units.
  • Additional Information: The role requires managing a patient ratio of 1:3, up to potentially lower acuity or overflow patients, with a patient census of approximately 18 daily. Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, arterial and CVP lines, cardiac and neurological protocols, and providing comprehensive critical care across multiple specialties.
