Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in Derry, NH. This role involves providing critical care to patients in an open ICU environment with a focus on advanced patient monitoring, ventilator management, and emergency response. The position offers an opportunity to work within a progressive community hospital's dedicated team, supporting staff in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced setting.
Job Details:
- Location: Derry, NH
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NH Registered Nurse (RN) license at the time of submission; minimum of 0 years of experience; certifications in ACLS and BLS. Experience in Medical or Surgical ICU preferred; CCRN and AIBP experience advantageous.
- Unit Specifics: 8-bed ICU unit, mixed patient population, open ICU, staffing goal of 4 RNs 24/7, utilizing GE B650 cardiac monitors, vents, and Gaymar cooling devices. Documentation with Meditech.
- Patient Care Focus: Nurse communication emphasizing nurse-patient interaction using whiteboards, hourly rounding, bedside care conferences, and AIDET validation during orientation.
- Certifications & Awards: The facility is accredited with multiple certifications including JC Gold Seal of Approval, JC Stroke, JC Ortho/Spine, and others, along with recognition for safety and quality metrics.
- Procedures Performed: Ventilator care, Therapeutic Hypothermia, PCI/STEMI, IABP, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, TEE/cardioversion, temp pacing, Sepsis management, Stroke/TPA, and DKA treatments.
- Float Policy: ICU may float to other critical care or intermediate care areas when needed.
- Additional Requirements: Professional scrubs required; standard dress code. No specific dress color mandated.
