Job Summary
The ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Intensive Care Unit is responsible for providing specialized patient care within the ICU setting. This role involves managing critically ill adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients with diagnoses such as sepsis, ARDS, cardiogenic shock, and post-op recovery, utilizing advanced equipment and procedures.
Job Details
- Certifications required: RN license valid in Maryland or a Compact state, BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS
- Education: Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU nursing, with at least 2 years patient ratio experience
- Schedule: 3x12 rotating day/night shifts, 36 hours per week, starting 10/19/2026, ending 01/18/2027
- Preferred qualifications: Experience with ventilated patients, pressors, sedations, and specialized equipment such as vents, CRRT, IABP, and proning therapy
- Responsibilities include managing all pressors and sedative drugs, patient monitoring with advanced equipment, handling complex procedures, and providing urgent care for patients with critical conditions.
- The candidate must be comfortable floating within scope for IMC, CSU, and lower acuity units, and be prepared to work every other weekend and scheduled holidays.
- No on-call responsibilities required, but shifts may be adjusted if staff calls out.
- Submittals must conform to compliance deadlines with required documentation within five days prior to the start date.
