Job Summary
Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, Bradenton, FL. This position provides critical care to patients in a 12-bed burn intensive care unit within a Level II trauma center. The role involves autonomous, detail-oriented nursing care, teamwork, and participation in procedures including excision and debridement, reattachments, vascular procedures, and skin grafting.
Job Details
- Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays are required in rotation with facility employees.
- Required Qualifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, and critical care training.
- Preferred Qualifications: Burn and wound care experience.
- Additional Information:
- Patient ratios are typically 2:1.
- The unit supports patients requiring ventilators, bedside monitoring, wound vacuums, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, warming devices, and temperature management systems.
- Typical procedures include excision and debridement, reattachments, vascular procedures, and skin grafting.
- The care team includes registered nurses, patient care technicians, and nurse externs.
- A detail-oriented, autonomous, and team-focused approach is valued.
- Assignment dates are 11/30/2026 through 03/01/2027.
