Job Summary:
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Registered Nurse opportunity is located in Mexia, Texas. This position involves providing critical care services within a 6-bed ICU unit, focusing on adult and geriatric patient populations. The role requires collaboration with a family-oriented team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Shift: Days
  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), 2 years of experience in ICU setting
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with vent and bipap management, critical care drips, diagnosing and treating conditions such as CHF, AFIB RVR, DKA, PNA, and sepsis
  • Additional Information:
    • Unit has 6 beds with a patient ratio of 1:2
    • Equipment includes telemetry monitors, VS machines, bladder scanner, ultrasound for IV placement, Doppler, vents, bipaps
    • EMR platform used: MedHost
    • May be required to float to Medical-Surgical unit during low census periods in ICU
    • Position is a replacement of permanent staff
