Job Summary
ICU (Intensive Care Unit) Nurse - Medical-Surgical ICU The organization is seeking experienced ICU nurses to provide care for adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced ICU setting. The position involves managing complex patient cases, utilizing advanced skills and certifications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details
- Certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Education Requirements: Valid state or compact license in hand at the time of submittal
- Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience preferred; 2 years required
- Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Responsibilities: Manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction, ventilator management, arterial line care, invasive procedures such as chest tube insertion/removal, and other critical care interventions.
- Charting: Experience with Epic electronic charting system required.
- Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge experience, travel experience, community hospital experience, trauma Level I or II experience, LTAC experience.
- Additional Information: Float rotation may be required.
