Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering compassionate, high-quality care that prioritizes the needs of patients and their families. The RN will assess, diagnose, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care in accordance with established policies and professional nursing standards. This role is accountable for the quality of nursing services provided and is expected to define, implement, and enhance practice standards while fostering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients’ health conditions and needs.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in their conditions.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and promptly.
• Conduct clinical procedures and interventions as necessary.
• Promote a safe and efficient environment of care.
• Float to Med Surg as required to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care and ICU experience.
• 1 year of travel nursing experience is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• Training in Med Surg and Telemetry is required.
• Proficiency in IV insertion is mandatory.
• Experience with the adult population is essential.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records, specifically Epic, is required.

Work Schedule

• 35-36 hours guaranteed per week.
• Respond to weekend requirements, working every other weekend.

Licensure

A valid Minnesota nursing license is required. A temporary nursing license will be accepted, provided an application for a permanent license has been submitted.
