Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Float Nurse position is located in Albany, New York. This role involves providing specialized critical care in various ICU environments, accommodating the needs of a fast-paced and diverse patient population. The ICU Float Nurse will deliver high-quality patient care across multiple ICU units, ensuring compliance with facility standards and maintaining optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid healthcare professional license, recent ICU experience with level I trauma center background, competency testing within 24 hours of submission, and experience floating across different ICU specialties including neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PACU. Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to various critical care environments.
- Preferred Qualifications: Prior travel experience and comfort working in diverse ICU settings. Knowledge of electronic health records (EMR) systems.
- Additional Information: Candidates must have experience working in neuro/trauma SICU, MICU, CPS/VICU, CCU, PCCU, and ICU/PACU. Must be comfortable with competency testing conducted within 24 hours of employment. The position is contingent upon availability and requires flexibility to float between units as needed.
