Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift float pool position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and Epic charting proficiency.
Details
- ICU float pool position covering MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU
- Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30
- Patient ratio of 1:2
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage required
- No call requirement
- Epic EMR experience required
Requirements
- Active LA RN license or Compact license required
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- CCRN and CPI certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required
- Epic charting experience required
- Previous charge nurse experience preferred
- Skilled in IV therapy, central/arterial/PICC line management, and blood product administration
- Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory failure care
- Experience with CRRT/CVVHD and renal replacement therapy preferred
- Experience with EVD, ICP monitoring, and neurosurgical post-op care preferred
- Experience with ECMO, IABP, Impella, and post cardiac surgery care preferred
- Two recent manager references required for consideration
Additional Information
- Provide critical care nursing across multiple ICU specialties as part of a float pool team
- Floating required to all ICU units including MICU, TICU, Neuro ICU, and Burn ICU
- Navy blue scrubs required
- Strict maximum of 5 days RTO
- Candidates residing within 75 miles are considered local and eligible at the local rate
- Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel assignments
