Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN for a West Portland, OR assignment requiring an active OR license and at least 1 year of skilled home health experience.

Details

• Provides in-home skilled nursing care to patients in West Portland, OR and surrounding areas
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 1:1 patient ratio with up to 6 patient visits per day
• No weekend requirement
• No on-call responsibilities
• No floating between units required
• Uses EPIC Remote Client for Home Health charting and the Rover phone app, along with OASIS documentation

Requirements

• Active Oregon RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health experience required
• OASIS experience required
• Experience with wound care, medication administration, and infection control precautions
• Must have own reliable transportation for home visits

Additional Information

• Performs admission assessments, recertifications, resumption of care, routine visits, and start of care documentation
• Care may include gastrointestinal management (colostomy/ileostomy, G-tube care), wound care and wound VAC management, and medication administration via multiple routes
• System groups clients to minimize drive time, though occasional daily travel radius may reach 60 miles
• Business casual attire required; scrubs optional and no specific color required
• Requires primary series COVID vaccination plus one booster
• Free parking provided and mileage reimbursed at IRS standard rate
• First-time travelers accepted, provided they have home health experience
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-75 mile radius at the same pay rate
• Returning former staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler
