Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Home Health position requiring prior travel experience and a Level III trauma background.

Details

Home health setting providing intermittent patient care in the community
Patient care includes nursing assessments, medication management, wound care, disease management, and patient education
Patient ratio of 1:6
Uses Epic EMR
Uses equipment such as wound vacs, IV pumps, nephrostomy tubes, trachs, PICC line supplies, port access supplies, Foley catheters, feeding tubes, and ostomy supplies
Visits typically last 30-45 minutes, with admission visits lasting 1 hour or more
Does not provide in-home infusion stays
Expected productivity of 6 patient units per 8-hour day
Assigned to specific territories to limit travel distance
Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p with occasional weekend availability
No on-call requirements

Requirements

Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
BLS certification required
Minimum 2 years of home health nursing experience required
Prior travel nursing experience required
Level III trauma experience required
Epic EMR experience required
Reliable personal vehicle required

Additional Information

Provide skilled home health nursing visits across a variety of clinical needs including wound care and disease management
No float or charge responsibilities required
Local candidates accepted
Radius rule of 75 miles applies; candidates within this radius are eligible at the local rate
