Description

American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Home Health RN for a dedicated night shift position requiring trach/vent care experience and PICU background.

Details

• Dedicated Home Health position providing in-home care to pediatric patients, not based at the facility
• Patient population primarily consists of children with tracheostomies and ventilators
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:00
• 12-week assignment length
• EPIC charting experience preferred but not required
• All travelers required to float to competent units

Requirements

• Active OH RN license or Compact license required at time of consideration
• BSN required as this is a Magnet facility
• Current BLS/CPR certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum 6 months experience required in Home Care, Geriatric care, Medical/Surgical, CCU, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, or DODD
• PICU experience required
• Home health or acute care setting experience required
• Trach care/management and ventilator care/management experience required
• Pediatrics experience and/or experience with individuals with developmental delays preferred
• Experience managing technology dependent and/or medically complex patients preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software required
• Strong communication skills required to work with all levels within an organization

Additional Information

• Provide direct in-home nursing care to pediatric patients, primarily managing tracheostomy and ventilator needs
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• No radius rule applies for this position
• Prior employees may be considered to return as travelers as long as they are not currently active employees
