Description

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with skilled home care and infusion experience for a Tampa-area assignment requiring OASIS proficiency and a valid driver's license.

Details

• Provide skilled home health visits for patients covered by Medicare, Medicare Advantage, and commercial insurance
• Complete 6-8 home visits per day
• Day shift hours vary based on HomeCare office needs, including Mon-Fri 8a-5p or 9a-6p schedules
• May include Thurs-Mon or Fri-Tues shift rotations with alternating weekend shifts
• Visits and hours are self-scheduled based on office needs
• Care for patients with high-risk diagnoses including HF, COPD, MI, pneumonia, and stroke
• Perform cardiopulmonary assessments, basic wound care, ABI compression dressings, and wound vac dressing changes
• Manage Pleurx/Aseptdrain care, foley catheter changes, and staple/suture removal
• Perform SQ/IM injections, venipuncture, and glucometer/pro-time machine use
• Provide PICC line or midline care and dressing changes, and SQ port access/deaccess
• Uses laptop, MiFi, and portable printer for documentation
• Documents using BayCare Forms, BayCare Scheduling, and Ace Timesheet systems

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of skilled home health care experience required
• OASIS training and experience required
• Private duty nursing experience alone will not be accepted
• Infusion experience and IV skills required, including peripheral IV/central line/port management
• Wound care experience required
• Phlebotomy and venipuncture skills required
• Experience with chest tube care (Emerson/PleurX) required
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required for home visits
• Must be COVID vaccinated or have an exemption on file
• Must have flu shot or declination, with mandatory mask wearing if declined
• Cerner experience preferred

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Former BayCare permanent employees must wait at least 12 months before returning as a travel RN
• RTO is not permitted under standard travel contract terms
• Scrubs must be any solid color
• First-time travelers with skilled home care experience may be considered
